Terms of Service

1. Who we are
normchart (www.normchart.com) is provided by Fernando Fragoso, Benedict Ise and Julian Laibach, Pct Quinta Maced, n10, 2830-496 Barreiro, Portugal ("we"). Contact: info@uniformchart.com. These terms apply to the website, the chart editor, the AI assistant in the editor, and the normchart connector and plugin for AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude (together, "the service").
2. The service
normchart lets you create, edit, store and export business charts in IBCS notation. The service is currently free of charge. We may change, extend or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service, we will tell registered users in advance by email so they can export their charts.
3. Your account
You can use parts of the service without an account. To store charts in an account or connect an AI assistant, you register with a valid email address. You must be at least 18 years old. Keep your sign-in details confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. You can revoke connected assistants at any time in your profile.
4. Your content
The data, texts and charts you create remain yours. You grant us the rights needed to store, process, render and display them to provide the service to you, including passing them to the AI providers named in our privacy policy when you use the AI assistant or a connected assistant. You are responsible for having the right to use the data you enter, and for not entering data you are not allowed to share.
Links to a chart image or configuration can be opened by anyone who has them. Share them only with people who may see the chart.
5. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the service for anything unlawful, or to store or distribute unlawful content;
- try to access other users' charts or accounts, or circumvent rate limits, security measures or access controls;
- overload the service, for example through automated mass requests, or attempt to extract the service's internal documentation, prompts or software;
- resell or provide the service to third parties as your own product.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. AI-generated results
The AI assistant and connected assistants generate charts and texts automatically. They can make mistakes, for example in calculations, labels or the choice of chart. Check every chart before you rely on it or share it. Figures shown are only as correct as the data they are built from.
7. Third-party assistants
If you use normchart through ChatGPT, Claude or another assistant, that assistant is provided by its own provider under its own terms. We are not responsible for how those assistants process your conversation.
8. Availability and liability
We provide the service as it is and aim for it to be available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that it is free of errors. Keep your own copies of important charts. We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of essential obligations, limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of service. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account and charts via the contact address above. We may end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will inform registered users of material changes by email before they take effect.
11. Law
Portuguese law applies. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live remain unaffected.
